Lviv Trade and Economic University is a higher educational institution of the IV level of accreditation, located in Lviv. It was founded on March 7, 1816. One of the leading economic universities in Ukraine, a major center of economic science and education in Western Ukraine.
It is part of the structure and is subordinate to the Central Union of Consumer Societies of Ukraine (Ucoopsoyuz). Upon graduation, the university issues a state diploma. On the full-time and part-time forms of study, the university prepares bachelors, specialists and masters in more than 50 specializations. The training of highly qualified scientific personnel through postgraduate studies in eight specialties of an economic profile and doctoral studies in three specialties is underway. There are three specialized dissertation defense councils.
