State University of Infrastructure and Technologies

duit logoThe State University of Infrastructure and Technology is young and, at the same time, one of the oldest educational institutions in Kyiv. It was created by order of the Government of Ukraine on February 29, 2016 through the merger of two metropolitan universities - the Kyiv State Academy of Water Transport named after Hetman Peter Konashevich-Sahaidachny and the State University of Transport and Technology, each of which has a similar but distinct genesis. The historical way of establishment of these universities reflects the history of water and rail transport, which always needed qualified specialists for its construction, development, and technical re-equipment. Appearing in the early twentieth century, the predecessors of these universities, even in the tumultuous years of the revolution and the two world wars did not stop training specialists in the transport infrastructure of Ukraine. The university has established a center for pre-university preparation of entrants, operates its own postgraduate and doctoral studies, specialized scientific councils for the protection of theses, can obtain a second higher education.
