Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University

Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical is one of the leading centers of higher pedagogical education in Ukraine, educational and cultural center of Ternopil and one of the oldest universities in western Ukraine. According to the results of Ukrainian higher education institutions consolidated rating the university ranks the second among pedagogical universities. During its functioning the university has prepared more than 65 000 specialists for general secondary, professional, higher education institutions. Thousands of our graduates became recognized professionals in the field of education, researchers, known both in Ukraine and abroad. Many of them are professors at Ukrainian higher education institutions, government officials, public figures. The University incorporates following faculties: Faculty of Philology and Journalistics, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, Faculty of Geography, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Physical Training, Faculty of History, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education and Psychology. There are also Pre-University Preparatory Centre, Centre for Postgraduate Education in the structure of the University. University brings together about 5500 students and 430 academic staff members. The University awards Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Higher Qualification Post-graduate degrees and Doctoral degrees. Today the University has bilateral partnership agreements with 35 foreign educational and scientific institutions from 11 countries. Thanks to the signed agreements of cooperation with Polish educational institutions, Double Degree Program is implemented at TNPU and provides possibilities for simultaneous studies in Poland and Ukraine. The Russian and English training programs set up to enable the number of international students increase.
