State Higher Educational Institution "Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology"

May 15th, 1930 Dnipropetrovsk Institute of Chemical Technology (DICT) started its history when separated from Dnipropetrovsk Mining Institute. The initiators of its foundation were academician L.V. Pisarzhevskyi, Professors O.I. Brodskyi and P.Т. Rubin. Long time ago, the Institute comprised two faculties: Technological and Basic Chemical Industry. Mechanical Faculty was the next one that started its work in late 30-s. Nowadays the University has 7 faculties, occupying 8 educational buildings with classrooms, laboratories and workshops, equipped with modern facilities. Five dormitories for 2600 people, a sports complex – one of the best in Ukraine, sports and health camp «The Oak Grove» and a sanatorium are available to the students.
