Luhansk State Medical University was founded in 1956 in Luhansk, Ukraine as Voroshilovgrad State Medical Institute on May 6, 1956. By 2012, the university had more than 3,000 students from over 60 countries. The university offers interns the opportunity to specialize in any of 25 areas.

Black Sea National University - one of the youngest institutions of higher education in Ukraine. It is the place where in 1862 the decree of Emperor Nicholas port was founded craft school. Since there are different types of educational institutions.
BSNU Renaissance - Renaissance of Ukrainian culture. So, October 15, 1615 from Kiev noble Halshka Hulevychivna Ukrainian Brotherhood gave his mansion in Podil in Kiev for the foundation of the monastery, hospital and school. Since then, this day is the Day of foundation of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the first university in Eastern Europe, was founded by St. Petro Mohyla, a prominent figure of the Orthodox Church and reformer of education.
To provide education that meets international standards, the university is in constant and close ties with various international organizations and foreign universities. Expanding the practice of inviting leading foreign scientists to teach in the BSNU Petro Mohyla and training of our students and teachers in foreign universities.

The basis of the research of the Black Sea National University, Petro Mohyla put our national experience, including Petro Mohyla philosophical concept - an organic combination of scientific and educational activities. 4 institutions and 6 departments form the basis of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. It offers training which gives opportunity to become BA and MA in economics, law, political science, international relations, history, sociology and social work, public administration. Teaching staff prepares doctors, ecologists, programmers, linguists, psychologists, managers and other highly paid professionals. The material base includes 10 university buildings, a library with a fund of 110,000 published sources (15 languages of the world); the information-computer center and 14 computer classes (free Wi-Fi); gyms; student dormitories and etc. There are post-graduate department in 9 specialties and 5 specialized academic councils to protect theses. Training is conducted in Ukrainian and English. Also, students learn French, German, Spanish, Polish, Bulgarian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Hebrew. The University is recognized as the best university in Mykolayiv oblast (region) by the UNESCO international ranking “Top-100 Ukraine”. According to international survey PMBSNU takes high places among the best universities of Ukraine in recent years. It is unquestionable leader in the quality and quantity of academic exchange programs for students and lecturers. Many of them got diplomas and undertook apprenticeships at the best universities from France, Germany, Norway and USA. 15 scientists and lecturers of PMBSNU were awarded with diplomas and medals of Honorable international scientific community Phi Beta Delta, USA. The University has license to prepare foreign students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Canada, China, Columbia, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Every year lectures from many countries in the world give lectures and workshops at the University. During its existence more than 100 lecturers from Australia, China, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Southern Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA have visited PMBSNU. Famous foreign diplomats, scientists and politicians are invited to give lectures. The University organizes visits and holds meetings with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Bulgaria, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Switzerland.

The establishment received the licence at giving the educational services in the sphere of higher education “Training the teachers of higher medical educational establishments”.

The main activity of the University is the providing higher medical education for Specialist’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, as well as postgraduate training in internship, mastership, postgraduate study courses for physicians and pharmacists. The history of Zaporizhia State Medical University comes back to the Women Pedagogical Courses organized in Odessa in 1903. In 1959 the Pharmaceutical Institute was transferred from Odessa to Zaporizhia and renamed in Zaporizhia Pharmaceutical Institute. In 1968 the institution became Zaporizhia State Medical University.

In 1926 а clinical institute of advanced training of doctors in Odesa city was opened. In 1955 the institute was transfered to Zaporizhia city. The Academy has IV level of accreditation. Organizing of education involve integrated system of actions aimed at high, world standard level of medical stuff training, rendering of high-quality assistance to the population, development and introduction of modern medical technologies and comprehensive cooperation with foreign medical institutions.

October 18, 1945 is considered to be the official date of Uzhhorod State University foundation. In 2000 For a significant contribution to the development of national education and science the University was conferred national status and renamed Uzhhorod National University with the fourth level of accreditation by the Decree of the President of Ukraine.

Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is a higher education institution of with level IV accreditation in Ukraine. TNMU regularly leads various national and international rankings of universities. The university has twenty years of experience in teaching international students in English. Currently, 1,556 students from 53 countries study here. TNMU has some of the best facilities among universities in Ukraine, with its students having access to modern lecture halls, a library, a simulation training center with practical medical classes, laboratories, the university hospital as well as clinical facilities distributed among 17 healthcare providers in the area.

Today about 1,400 foreign students including 290 full-time students from neighboring countries study at Sumy State University. At the present time, international students from more than 52 countries study at Sumy State University, in particular from Europe (UK, Norway, Romania, Poland), South America (Ecuador, Brazil), Asia (Turkey, Afghanistan, Bahrain, India, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, China, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Bangladesh, Israel), Africa (Burkina Faso, Ghana, DR Congo, Egypt, Zambia, Cameroon, Kenya, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Angola, Zimbabwe, Namibia), the CIS (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan).
Today the university has launched the English-language projects in the specialties: "General Medicine", "Management of Organizations and Administration", "Informatics", "Marketing", "Physical and Biomedical Electronics", "Information Technologies of Design", "Economics of Environment and Natural Resources" (Master Programme), "Economics of Enterprise" (Master Programme), "Business Administration” (Master Programme). The total number of foreign students studying in English is about 600 people.
In July 2009, SSU Medical Institute entered the list of the higher education institutions of the World Health Organization Database (Avicenna Directories).
All specialties of the Faculty of Economics and Management are certificated by International Education Society Ltd (Great Britain). International certificate gives an opportunity to come up to better results in job searching at the international and native job markets, as well as to provide employers with relevant information, which is usually not included into appropriate certificates.
International students take an active part in academic competitions, are engaged into scientific work, make reports at the scientific and practical conferences of the University and other higher education establishments of Ukraine, publish their works in scientific journals. Foreign citizens, if desired, can continue their studies in post-graduate programmes (doctorate programme).

Sumy Makarenko State Pedagogical University - the leading higher educational institute of Sumy region and Slobozhanshchyna. The University provides higher education in main directions "Teacher Education", "Physical Education and Sport", "Physics", "Specific categories", 26 specialties and 35 specializations. It provides educational sphere of north-eastern region with highly skilled specialists, guided by the best national and international traditions, modern principles and the latest trends in the development of education. The University includes 4 institutes , 3 faculties, 38 chairs, two teaching and counseling centers. The educational process in Sumy Makarenko State Pedagogical University is carried out by 475 tutors, including 37 doctors and professors, 244 candidates of science, associate professors, 1 academician, 9 honored workers of education, physical culture and sports of Ukraine, 11 honored coaches of Ukraine, 7 honored artists, folk art specialists, doctors, journalists of Ukraine. Specialized council for the defense of dissertations for the candidate of pedagogical sciences degree functions within university. The University enrolls more than 4,000 students from eight countries: Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Germany. The University occupies the sixth position in the ranking of higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The University cooperates with 32 universities abroad. The university formed an integrated information technology infrastructure which is constantly improving.

International University of Economics and Humanities named after Academician Stepan Demianchuk is the first private higher educational establishment in Western Ukraine. The first important date of its history is 1993. According to the decision of the International Pedagogical Academy (IPA) Rivne Research and Consulting Center (a branch of the IPA), that was registered by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine as an institution with the right to train specialists. For the last 16 years the University has trained over 13,000 highly skilled professionals who have received state diplomas.

HSEE of Ukraine “Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy” is a contemporary multidisciplinary educational institution of the 4th level of accreditation, which trains medical professionals of many specialties, including "Dentistry", "Medicine", "Nursing", "Orthopedic dentistry" and "Pharmacy". The Academy has five faculties (the Faculty of Medicine #1, The Faculty of Medicine #2, the Faculty of Dentistry, Foreign Students Training Faculty and the Faculty of Postgraduate Education), medical college and preparatory training courses for foreign and Ukrainian citizens. The training of foreign citizens is carried out in specialty "Dentistry" (5 years), "Medicine" (6 years), "Nursing" (2 years, on the basis of complete secondary education), "Prosthetic dentistry"(2 years, on the basis of complete secondary education) and "Pharmacy"(2 years, on the basis of complete secondary education).

South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky was established on 2 May, 1817. On 13 July, 2009, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 538, South Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky was assigned the status of a national university and was given its present name. Currently, the University is a flagship teachers training university of the southern region of Ukraine with 17 acknowledged scholar schools, 62 specialties for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral training programmes at 10 faculties, 4 divisions and one institute. Within the period of its existence, more than 100,000 students have graduated from the University. The University is well-known far beyond the country; it collaborates with educational and research institutions of various countries. There is International Distance Learning Centre, which is the only one in the south of Ukraine; educational research, information and cultural centres of Israel, Turkey, the USA, Lithuania, People’s Republic of China (Confucius Institute). Lecturers and students participate in more than 30 international projects. The University is a coordinator of project studies according to international programmes TEMPUS, Visegrad Fund, Fund “Ukraine-Norway”, etc. The University collaborates with 80 educational and scientific institutions around the world.

The Fialtov Institute of the Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine was esteblished by an outstanding scientist-ophthalmologist academician Vladimir Petrovich Filatov on the fourth of April 1936. Since the day of its creation and so far the Filatov Institute has been one of the leaders of the world medical science and practical medicine.

The Odessa National Medical University is a government university in the city of Odessa, Ukraine. Today, the Odessa National Medical University remains one of the leading medical universities in Ukraine. It is a member of the International Association of Medical Universities and the high standards of training at the institution are well recognized throughout Europe and America. The university consists of 58 faculties and has a student population of over six thousand, including foreign students from very diverse countries. Tuition is given in the Russian, Ukrainian, and English languages.

The International Humanitarian University was founded on August 20, 2002 as a non-state higher education institution with collective ownership and has the fourth level accreditation. The university started with only hundred students in 2003, and now has about 3700, students from many different parts of the World. Odessa International Humanitarian University consists a few faculties, 2 institutes and 17 departments. It also has a preparatory faculty for the incoming foreign students. Excellent european education in Ukraine. International Humanitarian University is one of the most modern universities in Ukraine and is one of the cheapest universities in Europe. The community of International University recognizes its mission in promotion of the ideals and values of modern society, openness, dialogue and cooperation via the humanitarian outlook democratization of education, bringing of education to every person on the basis of individual liberty . Lviv State University of Physical Culture – higher educational institution of IV accreditation level, was founded in 1946. The educational process at the University is carried out 25 departments, employing 34 professors, doctors of science and 141 candidates of Sciences, Associate Professor, 50 masters of sports and masters of sports of international class, 23 referees of national and international categories, 7 honored workers of physical culture and sport, 2 honored educator of Ukraine, 1 Honored Scientist of Ukraine, 13 honored coaches of Ukraine, Honored teacher of Ukraine, honored worker of culture of Ukraine. Among more than 20 thousand graduates of Lviv State University of Physical Culture are more than 400 honored coaches, honored teachers, honored workers of physical culture of Ukraine, as well as over 200 winners and prize-winners of Olympic games, World and European Championships. It is no exaggeration to say that the pride of the Ukrainian and world sport are our students and graduates. The university has established relationships with organizations and universities in Poland, Slovenia, USA, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, Hungary, Belarus, Georgia and Moldova. Since 1998 Lviv State University of Physical Culture is a member of the European Network of Sport Science, Education and Employment (ЕNSSEE); since 2001 – a collective member of the International Council on Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport and Dance (ICHPER-SD); since 2002 – a member of the Association of higher education institution of physical training in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Since 2009, Lviv State University of Physical Culture provides training of foreign nationals, in particular: Poland, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, Guinea, Morocco, Libya, Israel and others.

Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies named after S.Z. Gzhytskyj is the oldest veterinary university in Eastern Europe, which combines ancient academic traditions and innovative technologies, providing quality education in specialties «Veterinary Medicine» (masterʼs degree, Ph.D., D.Sc.), «Management» and «Marketing» (bachelorʼs degree).

The history of Lviv Medical University goes back to 1661. Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University is one of the oldest and biggest medical universities in Ukraine with the IV level of accreditation. Beginning from 1961 University provides education for foreign citizens. During 50 years over 2,5 thousand doctors and pharmacists - foreigners have got education here and have been working successfully as doctors and pharmacists in many countries of the world. Education is provided in Ukrainian, Russian Language, and since 1997 the teaching of foreign students in English has been launched and is rapidly developing.

The State Institution “Institute of neurosurgery n. acad. A. Romodanov NAMS of Ukraine” is the leading institution in Ukraine in the specialty of neurosurgery. In terms of scientific and educational activity, the institute provides clinical residency, a graduate school and information and training courses. There is a teaching staff of 3 academics, 2 assistant academics, 15 professors, 34 doctors and 77 PhDs. It specialises in maintaining the current standard and improving the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the central and peripheral nervous system, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, tumors, traumatic lesions, the effects of inflammation and abnormalities of the brain and spinal cord, pain syndromes, lesions of cranial and peripheral nerves and cerebral palsy. It is also a leading scientific research centre for the improvement of existing methods and development of new methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the nervous system, including: • diagnostic, surgical and combined treatment of tumours of the brain and spinal cord and the study of their molecular genetic features; • pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of central and and peripheral nervous system injury and its consequences; • surgical treatment of vascular pathology of the brain; • functional and restorative neurosurgery; • surgical treatment of spinal injuries, spinal cord and its roots; • treatment of chronic pain syndromes;; • treatment of nervous system defects and hydrocephalus in children; • rehabilitation of neurosurgical patients; • surgical and combined treatment of epilepsy resistant to standard treatments, and Parkinson's disease; • study the mechanisms and effectiveness of the embryonic nervous tissue, neurogenic and mesenchymal stem cells in the experiment in the pathology of the nervous system; • neuroimmunology; and • radiosurgery.
